We are delighted to announce that Skills for Care has contracted The Outstanding Society to continue managing the secretariat in the same format to ensure consistency and continuity across all seven regional councils, which play a vital role in shaping the future of social care nursing during Q1.
During this time, Skills for Care will engage with members to find out if there are any ways to add further value to the networks across 2025 / 2026.
The SCNACs have already achieved significant progress in raising the profile of social care nursing and influencing key policy decisions at a national level. Ongoing support from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) will be essential in addressing workforce challenges and securing the future sustainability of high-quality nursing within the social care sector.
As we look ahead, our shared priorities include deepening collaboration across the sector and driving greater integration between social care and health services.
We’re also excited to mark a new milestone in this partnership with the launch of the inaugural Social Care Nursing Lounge at the Care Show London. This dedicated space will welcome nurses, student nurses, and nursing associates to connect with peers, share insights, and meet with members of the SCNACs and wider sector leaders.
Together, we are committed to championing social care nursing and ensuring it remains central to the future of integrated, person-centred care.
