The OUT Standing Diversity Forum (OSDF) is delighted to announce that we have successfully secured places to march at Birmingham Pride 2027, giving adult social care a visible and vibrant presence at one of the UK’s most celebrated Pride events.
This exciting opportunity will bring together people who work in social care, people who draw on care and support, allies, advocates, and members of the LGBTQ+ community from across the sector. Marching together is about more than just taking part in a parade. It is an opportunity to celebrate diversity, champion inclusion, and demonstrate our shared commitment to ensuring that everyone feels valued, respected, and able to be themselves within adult social care.
The OSDF was established to create a platform for diverse voices to be heard and represented. Taking part in Birmingham Pride is another significant step in showcasing the positive work taking place across the sector and highlighting the importance of equality, visibility, and belonging for both the workforce and the people they support.
We are now inviting expressions of interest from anyone who would like to be part of the OSDF group marching in Birmingham Pride 2027. Whether you are a long-standing supporter of the Forum or are looking to get involved for the first time, we would love to hear from you.
As you might expect, interest is anticipated to be extremely high and the number of places available is limited. Registering your interest does not guarantee a place, but it will ensure that you are among the first to be considered when final allocations are made.
This promises to be a memorable and meaningful event, and we would be proud to have you stand alongside us as we celebrate diversity and represent the voices of adult social care on one of the country’s biggest Pride stages.
