Whether it’s ageing adults who spent years concealing their identities or younger people accessing services today, care and support must be truly person-centred and inclusive.
For older adults living with dementia, past traumas can resurface, making it essential that they receive care in safe, affirming environments—not forced back into the shadows. Likewise, younger LGBTQ+ individuals navigating support services need care that acknowledges identity, community, and the challenges they face.
