Sharing The Limes joy at Outstanding rating

The Outstanding Society (OS) was established in 2021 as a Community Interest Company (CIC) as a platform for sharing and celebrating best practices in social care while supporting others to enhance standards and elevate the visibility of the sector.

Simply put, The Outstanding Society cares about Social Care.

We’re not consultants, there is no sales pitch, in fact there is no cost. Our collective goal is to offer complimentary memberships, providing unrestricted access to our virtual events, newsletters, podcasts, and an array of valuable resources. This initiative strives to create an inclusive platform, ensuring that everyone can access information, celebrate innovation, and exchange invaluable best practices.

Afterall “sharing is caring” and where the end goal is a collectively Outstanding standard of care across the country there are no egos, no sales, no pushy pitches, just opportunities to connect and share and learn.

Things have thankfully changed since Covid-19 rocked our foundations but with change comes new challenges, new structures and new processes.

We were delighted to hear from an Outstanding Society member this week, Dr Chetna Satra, from The Limes in Bedfordshire (part of Optimal Living services) who proudly told us:

“I am delighted to announce that the Optimal Living services have achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating following a CQC assessment under the Single Assessment Framework. This was the first inspection for the service which supports people with learning disabilities and complex needs. The team are absolutely amazing and they’re led by a Registered Manager whose aim is to provide people with the support they need to live their best lives. To be honest, as a Provider, I couldn’t have done this without the support of the OS as I’ve used their golden nuggets to improve all my services”

An Outstanding rating is a wonderful achievement and we are delighted to hear that The OS may have assisted Chetna and her team there.

We are even more delighted to share that Chetna and some of her team will be joining The OS Virtual Meeting in November with Chris Day, Head of Engagement, The Care Quality Commission to share their experience of the new Single Assessment Framework.
