The Care Workers’ Charity publishes its 2021 Impact Report, giving a comprehensive overview and
insight into the work of the Charity and its achievements.
Today we are thrilled to announce the publication of our Impact Report for 2021. The report shares
our journey over the past twelve months as the charity has gone from strength to strength in
supporting social care workers during this turbulent time.
A few of the key achievements detailed in our report include:
o 1121 Covid-19 Emergency Fund Grants awarded, with a total value of £611,426
o 666 Crisis Grants awarded, with a total value of £350,716
o 70 Mental Health & Wellbeing Grants awarded, with a total value of £86,964
o 40 Mental Health First Aid courses paid for, with a total value of £12,032
o The total value of all 1897 grants awarded during 2021 was £1,061,138
Karolina Gerlich, Chief Executive Officer of The Care Workers’ Charity says:
“We’re really pleased to share our journey over the past 12 months. We have continued to support
social care workers in crisis with crisis grants and covid-19 Emergency Grants and we have also
added Mental Wellbeing and Health support in association with Red Umbrella providing care workers
with up to ten support sessions with a qualified therapist and provided for 40 social care staff to
undertake accredited Mental Health First Aider Training in order for them to be able to support their
colleagues. The need for our support is as great as ever post covid and we are so grateful to our
sponsors, supporter members and fundraisers for helping us to help those in need”
The Care Workers’ Charity would like to thank all our Trustees, sponsors, funders, partners, and
donors. Without this vital support we would not be able to provide support to care workers during
their time of greatest need. Thank you.
